we think that we have an aerial photo of your "Rails around the bay" at Schlanders 2014 (see attached link). Unfortunately, our photo coverage of the show is incomplete, since we stuck to our layout for 99% of the time.
One comment, relevant to both Schlanders 2014 and Rodgau 2015, from the viewpoint of an exhibitor: both shows had a FAR BETTER logistics than any other exhibition that we did before. In both cases, we had (finally) good lighting (at Schlanders we were facing a huge window with view to the Alps), good heating (many times before we had to install our layout clad in heavy garments, with numb fingers), perfectly flat floor (in Scalanders, it was wooden parquet (!!!) and in Rodgau it was linoleum (protected by rubber sheeting during the show).
In both shows, accommodation for exhibitor was very good, and the organizers had provided meals and drinks for exhibitors (note: IOHO, Rodgau has represented the absolute summit, from the viewpoint of food). In both shows, logistics was top-notch, with easy access with cars just next to the entrance to the halls. Loading and unloading was a pleasure.
Both show are an example to follow for all the organizers. In the particular case of our native country (Italy) some shows are OK, some others are to forget. Also in other EU countries, we personally had some depressing experiences as exhibitors. Talking to our modeling friends, they also had similar bad experiences allover EU.
Anyhow, let us keep the faith, lets us keep on building, rolling, railing.
All the best from Milan
